Bio

Kevin Charles (born Kevin Charles Patterson on October 16, 1972, in Galveston, Texas) is a genre-spanning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and entertainer whose career bridges rock, country, pop, jazz, R&B, swing, funk, blues, and contemporary Christian music. A prodigy who earned accolades in classical piano, jazz drums, and orchestral percussion by age 13 when he released his first studio album Charles went on to build a reputation as a versatile touring and session musician before launching his solo career with a series of stylistically diverse releases in the 1990s.

His creative fusion of jazz and rock led to the formation of a swing big band and international touring success, including performances for U.S. military programs worldwide.

Never confined to one sound, he later pivoted into country music, faith-based projects, and pop-leaning “twisted country,” earning writing and performance credits on more than 70 albums.

Along the way, he has shared stages with major artists across genres, served in music ministry leadership roles, and continued recording and producing from Houston and Las Vegas, with new music still in the pipeline.
